There is still no news of the loss of the gift I prepared for Malcolm Turnbull on the occasion of him opening the exhibition of my ancestor's life's work. So I send this letter to Penny Wong:
Dear Penny,
Thank you for raising the question last year, of the loss of the gift that I entrusted to Michael Napthali [to pass on to Malcolm Turnbull] at the opening of the Tom Roberts exhibition at the NGA in Dec 2015. I have not received acknowledgement from the PM or his office. All media reports so far have been about the coin, with suggestions of its monetary value. For me the issue is not money, but trust in government leadership towards an intelligent, creative nation. Can you convey to Malcolm the meaning of my gift?
