We leave Talisman and move into a new house in Glen Waverley to live closer to family. The new house was built with Noel's war service loan. It had a garage with a space at the back closed off to house his radio gear. A Ham Shack. A side door with wooden steps led up to it. Noel's friends from the Mission to Seafarers would visit. One was a sailor called Nobby who gave me a book with pictures of zooplankton. Other people came from other places to communicate, via Noel's system, with their family members working in Antarctica.
