This is one of several ways that I recorded my experience of 42 days in Antarctica: as an animated interactive calendar and chart. Days noted in a notebook track the time and a tiny dot plots the position of the Australian icebreaker, Aurora Australis.

A 42 day scientific expedition to Antarctica is seen through the animated pages of an artist's journal.

The animated film and associated art works were made as part of an Antarctic Fellowship with the Australian Antarctic Division (V7, 2002) with funding from the Australia Council for the Arts New Media Fund.
