Roget's Circular

Roget's Circular is the animated interactive art work published by Macquarie Library, who intertwined it within their first electronic edition of their Dictionary and Thesaurus. Made by Lisa Roberts with artist Melissa Smith and software engineer Ruth Luxford, it the central feature of the Roget's Circular installation hosted by Gallery 101, Melbourne, as part of the Bicentenary of Australian Federation festival. On this occasion the work was presented as a touch screen exhibit in a suitcase and encircled by six books that guided visitors through the six categories of meaning in the original thesaurus by Peter Mark Roget.
